Summit Oral Radiology LLC
Summit Oral Radiology was established in Denver, Colorado to provide oral radiology reporting services to the region. The oral and maxillofacial radiology specialists primarily practice interpretation of dental CBCT exams and 2D intraoral and extraoral radiographs. Our referral base is mostly located in Colorado and along the Front Range. Additional referrals come from Wyoming, New Mexico, other Mountain States and across the Nation. Our OMR specialists are licensed in the state in which they practice.
Dr. Matthew Whiteley
Dr. Whiteley is the owner of Summit Oral Radiology LLC and is the lead oral and maxillofacial radiologist. He studied undergraduate physics at the University of Colorado Denver where he enjoyed participating in prototype fabrication for local inventors. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine on the Anschutz Medical Campus. Dr. Whiteley practiced general dentistry in Denver before attending oral and maxillofacial radiology residency at the UCLA School of Dentistry. He is an advocate for technology in dentistry and has been practicing teledentistry since 2017. Dr. Whiteley is board eligible.
When not practicing, Dr. Whiteley can be found with his family exploring rising summits and lush valleys of the Colorado Rocky Mountains and beyond.
Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology
Oral and maxillofacial radiology (OMR) is a dental specialty recognized by the American Dental Association. OMR focuses on the production and interpretation of radiographic images of the oral environment and supporting structures including the face, head and neck. An oral and maxillofacial radiologist is a dentist who has completed advanced training in a CODA approved OMR residency.
